Come join us for a fun weekend as the VAOK participates in the 2019 ARRL Field Day. Let’s get together and enjoy a weekend with VAOK members, family and friends. This is an all hands operation and outreach for both VAOK and Ham Radio; VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED!
Meet and greet members, prospects, and visitors; Help build our membership.
Enjoy the park or learn about and operate Ham Radio regardless of whether you have a license or not. Setup begins Friday, June 21st at noon.  Field Day exercises begins at 1400 hours on Saturday, June 22nd and continues until 1400 hours on Sunday, June 23rd, 2019. We will be operating around the clock for 24 hours with tens of thousands of other Hams. Free camping for VAOK members, family, and guests; (donations are encouraged).

Please register and choose your preferred volunteer position(s). Our plan is to have 2 hour shifts during the Field Day operation. We need 2 General Licensed Operators to volunteer as CONTROL OPERATORS per each 2 hour shift.

We also need SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS for:

• Dining Manager
• Chef
• Sous Chef
• Camp Manager (‘til Sat 1400L-Direct Camper to their camping spots)
• Park Liason (Direct report for the Park Ranger)
• VAOK Outreach
• HAM Outreach
• Ranger Lead
• Parking Wrangler (Sat. Dawn-Sun. Noon)
• Child Coordinator (Day)
• Watch Lead (Day & Night Security)

Please sign up for as many shifts that you can; while allowing time in your schedule to spend time with our guests, hang out with our fellow VAOK brothers & sisters, and enjoy the park!
