In seeking the position of President of Virginia Oath Keepers, (VAOK), I am hoping to work with the membership to strengthen and grow the organization. Of the many choices of like minded groups to belong to, I believe only VAOK best represents what is needed to educate and effectively stand for Constitutional government and to prepare for the possibility that it erodes further in our nation and commonwealth.

My career history started when I served in the Army in the Signal Corps from 1992-1997. I have also worked as a factory machine operator, high school history teacher, and self-employed business owner. I currently work for our family corporation in asset procurement, asset management, and sales. My position allows me the flexibility and time to ensure I am able to invest in VAOK and effectively lead us in the right direction.

My experience also includes several volunteer positions that have involved leading and organizing small groups in a church setting. I have also spent time serving as a volunteer youth leader for several years.

I am a married, (24 years), father of 4 and grandfather of 5. My oldest son served 4 years in the Marines and is currently in the Army Reserves. My youngest son is currently In Basic Training in the Army (as of Feb 26th 2018). My family is also involved in the organization and attend training events and my wife is also a founding member.

While I have been a Founding Member of VAOK, I have seen what this organization has to offer for myself and my family and I want to work with all chapters to best grow VAOK as a state and local organization that is relevant to each chapter. We all know that our local chapter will be our foundation in times of need and I also want to ensure each chapter is allowed to fit the community that it serves and is effectively led by the local leadership.

While I hope to get your vote in this election I only want what is best for the entirety of the organization and hope your vote is for the best qualified and most available member in the running.

Sincerely,
Josh Barnhart
